On February 16, Boulevard Hotel hosted an “Intellectual Cup” dedicated to EURO 2020.
Registration for the tournament covered the period from January 31 to February 12. The first 40 teams out of 158 applied for participation got a chance to show their knowledge in the tournament.
The event was announced by Kamran Valiyev, Project Coordinator of EURO-2020 Local Operations Group in Baku.
The game consisted of 5 rounds with 12 questions in each one, total of 60 questions. The participants tried to answer questions about the history of the European Championship, interesting matches played, well-known football players and host cities. The veteran footballer, Ambassador of Baku, which is the host city of EURO 2020, Veli Gasimov gave the first question about the European Championship.
The presenter of intellectual game was the famous television and radio host Fateh.
The event, which was based on the rules of the intellectual game "Yes? Where? When?", was held in a tense atmosphere. The champion of the tournament “Vendetta” was awarded a prize of 1200 AZN, the second place winner “Lister” was awarded 900 AZN, and the third place winner “Diplomat” was awarded 600 AZN. At the same time, all three teams were given tickets to one of the EURO-2020 matches to be held in Baku.
