Visa to Azerbaijan

Only ticket holders for UEFA EURO 2020 matches scheduled in Baku who are citizens and/or stateless residents of the following countries will be able to obtain a visa upon arrival by presenting a valid match ticket:

Turkey* (visa free regime)
Switzerland
UK
Quarter-finalist Countries

Standard visas are single entry and are valid for a period of 90 days, giving the right to stay in the country for up to 30 days.

Passport validity period must be at least 3 months longer than the expiry date of the visa to be issued.

According to the national legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, foreign nationals or stateless persons who illegally crossed the international border of the Republic of Azerbaijan may not be allowed to enter into the Republic of Azerbaijan even if they have obtained a visa.

E-visa procedure (online visa)

1. Citizens and/or stateless residents* of eligible countries (Switzerland, UK, quarter-finalists that will play in Baku) shall apply for their electronic visa via the official e-visa platform available at: https://evisa.gov.az/en/ . Ordinary electronic visas are issued within a period of 3 business days with a charge of US$23 (including a service fee), while urgent electronic visas are issued within 3 hours with a charge of $51 (including service fee).

2. The e-visa is sent to the email address of the applicant. Electronic visas are single entry and are valid for a period of 90 days, giving the right to stay in the country for up to 30 days. Passport validity period must be at least 3 months longer than the expiry date of the e-visa to be issued.

Important note: The person who obtained an e-visa must submit ticket at the state borders while entering Azerbaijan, otherwise the entrance will not be permitted. We highly recommend the people who are eligible for e-visa to apply for e-visa, and avoid getting a visa upon arrival at the airport in order not to render a crowd in front of visa counters and protect quarantine measures. Ticket holders travelling to Azerbaijan will be eligible for a quarantine exemption, with proof of a negative COVID-19 test results.
